Description:
|
e871 is an isolated genetically modified Bacillus subtilis strain overproducing vitamin B2 (riboflavin).
Whole genome sequencing data revealed the nuclear integration of a chloramphenicol resistance (cat) gene into the endogenous recA gene in B. subtilis strain e871 and the deletion of the endogenous genomic riboflavin (rib) operon. In addition, four putative plasmids were identified harbouring rib operons from B. amyloliquefaciens and B. subtilis and genes conferring resistance to ampicillin, kanamycin, bleomycin, erythromycin and tetracycline, respectively.
